Its a jungle in here.....

Its Monday morning and the kids have been busy. My dd has dumped the Lincoln log set and is in the process of building a log cabin town which my ds has populated with every sort of wild animal imaginable. They are playing so well together I almost hate to break it up to start school this morning. I don't want to give the wrong impression, school for one child in kindergarten only takes as long as she makes it. If she is co-operative, we are done in about 1 1/2 hours. Only most of the time she is not and it takes about 3 hours. She normally has a page of writing sentences (each of these are front and back), a page of math (which she zooms through unless there was a new concept that we went over first that snags her up), a page of phonics and letter skills, we do social studies on MWF and art on Tues and Thurs. We also try to make a trip to the library once a week and she does a science oriented project about once a week too (which sometimes is part of her arts and crafts) She also has been spending a lot of time on her l-max games (which teach a lot of skills) and they both seem to enjoy the leap pad books. We don't normally go anywhere during the weekdays unless its school related or an appointment or special occasion. Thankfully my migraine has eased up to a dull throb. I just hope its on its way out. I could seriously use some more sleep but motherhood seems to have an early wakeup call in this house. Not that I am complaining, I love my munchkins and I am glad that they are healthy active children. Well that is all that I have to say today, nothing really exciting or funny going on today but its good that we don't have drama everyday. Slow, normal days are neccessary to give us strength for the others. Well, better get to school, the natives are getting restless. Have a blessed day!
