Oh Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy....another four hour swim meet.....

Ok, first things first! Let me just answer the comment on yesterday's blog from my peep. What brought on that particular post? I don't know. What brings on half of what I rant and rave about? It was just what came to mind when I sat before this keyboard and wondered what to blog about.
Just like this morning when the first thing that came to mind to complain about is the minimum 4 hour swim meet that we have to go to this afternoon. Have I mentioned that I wish my DD would have never signed up for the swim team? .....Wait a minute, she is 5, she can't sign up for anything. Correction, I wish my DH had never signed her up for swim team. She doesn't even like it. She just wants to go to the pool and swim for fun and play with the other girls her age. She doesn't "get" the point that she needs to swim as fast as she can without stopping to see where everyone else is in the pool. I wanted to let her quit 2 months ago when she had bronchitis the week of her second meet that was 45 mins away and started at 8 am on a day where the temp was 35 degrees. My DH on the other hand is really "into" it. It is hard to get excited about going when you know that your baby will be swimming in the first or second event and getting wet and then not swimming again til the 30th event, 2hours later and the 50th event another hour later. Meanwhile she is sitting around in a drafty gym with other kids bored out of their minds and freezing. Not to mention the fact that my baby boy has to be drug along for the ride so that both parents can "support" her and he does even get to go "Splish Splash" as he calls it. Anyway, enough complaining about that.
Today is Saturday and that normally means family time so we will be having family time at the YMCA. We will be getting groceries after the meet as a family and I won't even begin to expound on the joys of going to Wallyworld with my angels. I love my kids and husband but grocery shopping with them is not high on my list of "Fun Things to do with Family". Going to Wallyworld and Sam's Club are not high on my list of fun things to do on a Saturday either but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. We are out of MooJuice and that can cause a revolt with the natives in my house. Well, I have bored my readers (all 5 of you) enough today. If you check in with me everyday for funny little anecdotes on life, then you were probably disappointed but if you just wanted to hear me complain nonstop, even you got more than you bargained for this morning.
Have a blessed day!!

Okay, I am going to quote myself "welcome to my world", and that would also be Karen's world. Its the world you enter sometimes when you have kids. But I think that she should finish what she started because that is a good life lesson and if she doesn't want to do it next season then don't. At least she's not cheering, lttle DS would really love that!!!
