It can't be said enough.....

I know that I am jumping on the pulpit with my dear friend Lorrie and I don't want to be a copycat but her blog yesterday (if you would like to read it just click on my link, Ramblings of a Slightly Demented SAHM) really got me spun up. I too have had more than I can take of this politically correct, don't offend anyone, keep everyone happy country we are living in. In my opinion, and since you are reading my blog, you are always going to get my opinion, it is just a kick in the teeth to everything this country was founded on. Yes, this country was founded by people seeking to worship God in the way they felt the Bible said they should. Yes, we should be a country that accepts people and their beliefs and respects their right to worship, I have NO problem with that. Unless their beliefs mean that they feel the need to destroy everything I hold dear. My God has been good to this world. He created us (No, I do not believe in this silly from the goo, to the zoo, to you theory of macro evolution, if this were so, then I should have about six arms by now since mothers should have evolved to meet the needs of their offspring) He provided us with the natural resources and the brains to develop them (the fact that we overdevelop and destroy more than we create is all on us though). He also gave us free will so that we were not little puppets that only moved at His command. He hasn't asked for much in return. He even sent his Son to be born, serve and died on a cross for the sins of each of us. Even if you don't believe that, then I should always have the right to and to celebrate His son's birth on December 25. The celebration is called CHRISTMAS. I am not trying to tell anyone that they can't celebrate whatever holidays they want but As for me and my house we will celebrate Christ's birth. I will not argue with those who say that its not his actual birthday, because that may be so but it is the day that we celebrate as a collection of believers in His birth. To be honest, I celebrate everyday that He came and died for my sins. There are those who believe in Christ that think Christmas has become too commercial and that we should not support the commercialism. Maybe we do take it too far and it has become polluted with greed and avarice but that doesn't mean we should just give in and quietly celebrate behind closed doors. Celebrate whatever holiday you want, but respect my right to celebrate Christmas and stop trying to make everything politically correct. That is an oxymoron anyway, if it is political then you can guarantee it is NOT correct. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I am now going to refer to the comment that you made on my blog, I am not saying that blogging about it is wrong, but I am saying that it is not enough. I don't know what the answers are. I just know that it is do or die time and our generation has to be the one to stop it. That is all that I was trying to say. Darleen
